What to expect
A Typical Sunday…
Visiting a new church for the first time can be stressful and awkward. We want to help you get to know us better so you have an idea of what to expect.

When’s Church?
We have two services on Sunday: 8:20 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Between the services is Sunday school for all ages and Adult Bible Fellowships.

Are the services different?
The services have the same sermon but differ primarily in worship style. The first service tends to be more traditional with hymns and often a full choir. The second service is more contemporary in music style though modern renditions of classical favorites are also found here. Dramas occasionally punctuate and help accent our worship. Both services are geared for one thing: to help you focus on Christ!

How do I get there?
When you arrive at the church, you’ll find plenty of parking in the lots. The north entrance (facing Orchard Dr.) is wheelchair accessible and handicapped parking is right next to the door. If you need directions to the church, click here for a map.

Where do I start?
Once you’ve parked and made your way to the door, you may want to stop at the Welcome booth where a friendly face is available for more in-depth questions about locations and times and what's happening in and around Trinity. There’s also some literature here to help get you acquainted with us.

Where is the sanctuary?
Inside the foyer, you’ll see the sanctuary where the worship service is held. An Usher will greet you and give you a bulletin with helpful information about the service including notes on the sermon and announcements of what’s happening at Trinity. Go ahead and seat yourself wherever you feel comfortable. All children are welcome to join us for the service and we have small bags filled with crayons, paper and other items your young children might find helpful.

What's your service like?
Our focus is on Jesus. Our services are structured to help us get our eyes off ourselves and onto Him. We’re just ordinary people, like you, and not “professionals” and we strive for authenticity rather than entertainment. Consequently, our worship style is meant to be centered on God and His greatness rather than ourselves. At the beginning of each service, we begin our time together with music and worship, led by our worship leader and team, which typically includes vocalists, acoustic and electric guitar, drums, bass, and keyboards during second service, while our first service features hymn singing and a full choir every other week. The bulletin you pick up as you enter the sanctuary will give you the order of service and the worship leader will direct you. There may be an occasional drama presentation to accent a particular point. We do receive an offering during this worship time. Please don’t feel uncomfortable with this, we believe giving is for people who are committed to Trinity and don't expect visitors to give an offering. Please visit our What We Believe page for more information on our core values or see our video.

Do you preach a sermon?
After the music and worship time, Our Senior Pastor customarily presents a solid, biblical sermon punctuated with personal application that he has prepared during the week. The sermon usually lasts about 40 minutes. You will have been given an outline to help you follow along, and there are commonly Power Point presentations of key points and verses projected on the screen. You can get archives of sermon downloads here. The entire service lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

What about my kids?
If you desire to leave your children (36 months and under) in the nursery you’ll find it just outside the sanctuary. Our nursery is staffed with loving care takers who provide a safe and secure environment. They will not only care for your young child’s physical needs but will be praying for them while you enjoy the worship service. Parents also help out on a rotating basis. You can find more information about the nursery here.

And older kids?
Sunday School is held for all ages between our two services from 9:45 – 10:45. For children (preschool – 6th grade) our Sunday School rooms are located in the education wing just down from the nursery. Signs on the doors will tell you who meets in what room or you can stop by the welcome desk for directions. Each class is team taught by caring members of Trinity and we’re excited about our innovative curriculum that leads children progressively to discover who Jesus is and what the Bible is all about. Visit our children’s ministry page for more information.

Jr. High and High School students meet separately in the Genesis Youth Ministries area downstairs in the basement (stairs are right next to the sanctuary and adjacent to the north entrance of the church). Whether you’ve been a Christian for years, or you’re just checking things out, this is the place to be. Various topics are covered to help students see the Bible as Truth and applicable to all of life, helping us deepen relationships with one another, and encourage each other to share what Christ has done in our lives. Everyone’s welcome! Bring your friends!

What about Adults?
Grab a cup of coffee and a doughnut and check out our ABF’s (Adult Bible Fellowships) as your main means of connecting with others as we encourage each other to think and act more like Jesus. Emphasis here is on practical Biblical application while we encourage and help one another with real life issues. Classes are on-going and new people are always welcome. No matter what your age or stage, we have an ABF that should suit you.

Should I dress up for church at Trinity?
Most people dress according to their own comfort levels, but it’s entirely up to you. On Sunday mornings, you will find men and women in suits and dresses as well as in slacks, jeans and sandals.

Will I have to stand up or be singled out as a guest?
No. We won’t embarrass you by singling you out like that. We would ask that you fill out the yellow visitor’s form found in your bulletin so we can send you more information about Trinity or answer any specific questions you might have. If you should request prayer or a pastoral visit, we would like to accommodate your needs. Also, feel free to contact us by e-mail or phone and we would be glad to help you.

Thank You!
We hope you find your visit to Trinity welcoming and encouraging as we help one another to be more joyous and passionate followers of Jesus!
