Elaine’s Story

My grandmother was converted in a gospel meeting held in a theater building when I was very young. The baby church that developed with the new believers began praying for my family. God began to convict and convince my parents of their need of a Savior and they were brought to Jesus. My preschool heart also responded to Jesus, and I began my walk with Him. It was in the late high school years that my commitment to the Holy Spirit and His fullness brought a firm resolve to wholly follow Jesus.

This resolve has lasted through fifty-three years of marriage to my pastor husband as I accompanied him to his pastoral assignments. We were blessed with four children who now love and serve the Lord with their spouses and families.

The past seven years since my husband’s death have strengthened my resolve to depend on Jesus and bless others.

My church and church family are a vibrant part of my life. It is a great blessing not only to worship together as a church family but to have a place to share God’s love.
