The pastoral staff of Trinity Bible Church is a testimony to the creative
means God uses to call people to Himself and to put them in the positions
of His choosing. We invite you to read their stories and marvel at God’s
faithful and often surprising work.

With
a B.S. in Forest Management, John has served as a forester with a corporate
paper company and as a remote sensing cartography technician(i.e. he
made maps). While immersed in the study of nature and evolution, he
and his wife discovered the Creator. Directed to Trinity Bible Church
by God in 1978, they found numerous people who helped them become joyous
and passionate followers of Jesus. In 1981, John was invited to join
the staff as Director of Christian Education and Youth. In 1983, God
called him to preach and led them to Bethel Seminary (a Baptist General
Conference seminary) in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he earned a Master
of Divinity degree while serving as Youth Pastor at a church in Minneapolis.
Following seminary he served as a solo pastor for six years (Fayette
Community Church, Fayette, Iowa) before returning to Trinity Bible Church
in 1995 to serve as Senior Pastor. John’s primary responsibilities
include study, teaching and oversight of the long-range direction of
the church. He and his wife, Karen, have two sons and a daughter.

With
a B.A. in marketing, management and industrial relations from Mankato
State University (Minnesota State University), Mark Holton intended
to be a financial planner. But the seeds of a different plan were planted
at college when Mark surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. That commitment
was nourished through involvement with Bible Study Fellowship as he
worked to sell financial securities. In 1993, during a one-on-one session
with a potential client, the client instead sold Mark on the idea of
devoting his career to proclaiming Christ to teens through the ministry
of Tentmakers. His career stops had already spanned the world, including
stints as a ski instructor in Utah and in Germany, crew member on a
private, luxury yacht in the south of France, and financial securities
sales, but all of these paled in comparison to the possibility of sharing
Christ with teens. Mark signed on with Tentmakers and took a position
as Youth Pastor in Sparta, Wisconsin. In 1997 he came to Trinity Bible Church to give leadership to our teen student ministries. He and his
wife, Carissa, have four children..
